Production I.G announced that there was going to be a new Ghost in the Shell anime. It will be based on Masamune Shirow’s Ghost in the Shell manga. The directors for this production are Kenji Kamiyama and Shinji Aramaki. As of right now, there is no specified release date.
As many already know, the Ghost in the Shell live-action opened on March 31st in the United States. The movie starred Scarlett Johansson, with additional roles played by Takeshi Kitano, Michael Pitt, Pilou Asbæk, Chin Han, and Juliette Binoche. The movie is set to open in Japan on Friday.
