Dengeki announced at their 2017 Autumn Festival Sunday that Sword Art Online Season 3 is officially in production. As of right now, there is no release date.

All original cast members will be returning, and the voice actors playing Alice and Eugeo have been announced as follows:
- Ai Kayano – Alice
- Nobunaga Shimazaki – Eugeo
The below region-locked trailer was also shown. It says that “Production of SAO Alicization TV anime has begun.”

Additionally, the official Sword Art Online Season 3 website has bee updated with the new cast members, key visual, trailer, and synopsis. ‘Project Alicization’ follows the Mother’s Rosario and Ordinal Scale arcs, and is the longest arc in the series to date, having a total of 10 novels.
