We learned early Saturday morning that the hit anime Zombie Land Saga will get a stage play adaptation. The play, Zombie Land Saga: Stage de Doon! will open in the spring of next year. We don’t have any dates or venues as of yet. The stage production boasts an entirely original cast. None of the anime’s cast will feature as their on-stage counterpart. A followup announcement with information on the cast and schedule will be announced November 27th.
On the production’s official Twitter account, they urge fans to stay tuned to their website for more information. The Production Committee streamlined the sharing process to generate hype with buttons directly on their website.
In addition, a special live event, Zombie Land Saga Live -Franchouchou LIVE OF THE DEAD- debuts on March 8th next year. The Makuhari Messe Event Hall in Chiba prefecture is hosting the event. The confirmed anime cast attendance includes Kaedo Hondo (Sakura Minamoto), Asami Tano (Saki Nikaido), Risa Taneda (Ai Mizuno), Maki Kawase (Junko Konno), Rika Kinugawa (Yugiri), and Minami Tanaka (Lily Hoshikawa).
Finally, a two-minute AMV for Saga Jihen, a new song from the upcoming Zombie Land Saga -Franchouchou the Best- album, is out on YouTube. The song features Yugiri as lead vocalist, a change as it’s her first feature on a song. The album boasts 19 tracks and includes an advance entry code for the digital live event. Scheduled for a November 27th release, the album is closer than we anticipate.
Zombie Land Saga Revenge is still in the works with no word on a release date.
