Castlevania to Come to an End in Fourth Season

Netflix has shared the release date for what will be the fourth season of Castlevania. In a Tweet shared on April 16, 2021, Netflix shared that the fourth season will release on May 13th. Along with a teaser trailer, Netflix announced that this season will be the last for the anime series.

In addition to this, a new poster for the fourth season was also shared on Twitter.

The Future of Castlevania and Netflix

Castlevania was initially released on the popular streaming platform back in 2017. It was Netflix’s first foray into an original anime series. As an adaptation of the well-known Konami game series of the same title, the anime adaptation has had resounding success.

Castlevania has received praise from both critics and fans alike. Julie Muncy, a contributor for WIRED, had this to say about the first season in 2017:

It wouldn’t be hyperbole to say that this is one of the best video game adaptations of all time. That’s because it’s a very, very, very low bar. But Castlevania is in the process of raising it.

Fans will also be happy to hear that alongside the release of the fourth season’s trailer, further news about the world of Castlevania was released. According to a report from Deadline, there is talk of a new series releasing on Netflix. This new series will be set in the Castlevania universe with a new group of characters.
