On Tuesday, the Anime Network streaming service announced that they acquired the top level domain name theanimenetwork.com from Anime Network Online (ANO).
Before, ANO would stream Anime Network content on the site. Now, they plan to focus solely on the company’s cable and video on-demand services.
“Anime Network will transition the TLD toward services and information solely in support of its cable television and SVOD initiatives. Anime Network’s all HD SVOD offering is available to over 200 million households throughout North America.”
Additionally, a new anime streaming service named “HIDIVE” also launched on Tuesday. The new service will stream many exclusive titles, some of which could be found previously on ANO. You can find our separate article on HIDIVE here.
