In early April, the Fullmetal Alchemist live action movie trailer was released, showing 3D footage of the anime’s main characters and battles. Now, Warner Bros has released another trailer with English subtitles.
The trailer features the first events of the hit anime, Fullmetal Alchemist, which portrays the Elric brothers hopelessly trying to revive their mother with alchemy, and the events that follow.
The film is right now in production and will be released in Japan on December 1st, 2017, with a U.S. release date still to be announced. In addition, this live action movie is featuring new film technology unprecedented in Japanese film, according to the director, Fumihiko Sori.
“It is true that Hollywood has gone far ahead of Japan. But we have gathered enough technology to reach the level that we have never been, if we jump fly high. That allows me to try this film now. I want to reach out where no one has gone before with this film. But I understand technology should be used only to support the story. For a film, the most important thing is its story. I think it is wonderful if technology can hold the story tightly.”

If the award-winning director is truly motivated about this project, it is safe to say, that this release will make big waves in the anime and film industry,
