Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse was a 2D animated movie released in late 2018. The movie told the story of Miles Morales as and other Spider Heroes are brought into the same universe and set out to stop Kingpin from destroying the fabric of space and time. All the while Miles must learn what it really means to be Spider-Man. The movie was incredibly well received and and got an Oscar for Best Animate Feature. The sequel is set to release April 8 2022.
The live action 1978 release of Toei’s Spider-Man followed a motorcycle racer called Takuya Yamashiro. He’s injected with the blood of Garia, the last warrior of Planet Spider, in order to defeat the Iron Cross army led by Professor Monster, who wiped out all the inhabitants of Planet Spider. The show ran for 41 episodes and also had a movie. It’s also reminiscent of Kamen Rider or Power Rangers shows where many episodes have choreographed fights scenes and giant mecha fights.
