News of the PS5 is all over social media right now, and so are the games that will soon be released for it. One of these highly anticipated games is the anime-style game Scarlet Nexus. This game will be Bandai Namco’s first next-gen anime game. Its graphics will be next-level, and the gameplay should be fierce.
Scarlet Nexus is next-gen anime gaming
The trailer was released last month, and more details are slowly coming out. Right now, we know that it will be for both the PS4 and PS5, as well as for the Xbox Series X, Xbox One, and the PC. We also know that the release date will likely be sometime next year. The release date currently states December 31, 2021, but it will likely come out before then.
The plot of this game looks intriguing. You play as Yuito Sumeragi, who is a new recruit of the Other Suppression Forces (OSF). The OSF fight seemingly invincible aliens infiltrating Earth. They call these aliens “The Others.” The only way to defeat them is through psycho-kinesis—other than that, the Others truly are invincible. Nothing can hurt them physically. It has to be done by other means.
In this future, scientists discover a hormone in the human brain that grants a person telekinetic powers. Humans with these abilities are called psionics, and many of them are scouted to work for the OSF. Yuito Sumeragi is striving to become an elite psionic, just like the person who saved his life as a child. The game features him battling horrific demons from another world using his psycho-kinetic powers.
The story is intriguing, and the graphics look pretty good. It will be interesting to see how the game unfolds on the PS5 and what new edge it will bring, being the first next-gen anime game by Bandai Namco. Since we don’t have a firm release date yet, more news will come in the months ahead.
