Fishing themed anime Diary of Our Days at the Breakwater recently announced a fishing etiquette pamphlet on its official website. The Japanese Fisheries Agency produced the tie-in pamphlet in collaboration with the anime staff.
The Fisheries Agency is a subdivision of the Japanese government’s Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries. They also have an entire page on their website dedicated to recreational fishing rules.
Digital version of Diary of Our Days at the Breakwater Pamphlet Available
A digital version of the pamphlet is available on the Fisheries Agency’s website. The pamphlet features details on fishing rules, etiquette, character art, and commentary on the inside. An original illustration of the anime is on the cover as well.
In addition, the physical pamphlet will distribute at fishing-related events, stores, and seminars starting in early July.
Anime episodes delayed by COVID-19
The Diary of Our Days at the Breakwater anime started in the Spring 2020 season, but faced delays mid-season. The show stopped airing from the fourth episode on due to effects from COVID-19. Originally airing in April, the fourth episode will now premiere on July 28. Funimation is streaming the anime as it airs in Japan.
Based on the manga of the same name by Yasuyuki Kosaka, the series follows Hina Tsurugi, a first-year student who moves to a town by the sea. While Tsurugi is more of an “indoor kid” who enjoys things like arts and crafts, she is suddenly thrown into the world of fishing when an older student, Yuuki Kuroiwa, invites her to be a part of the school’s fishing club.
