The Weekly Shonen Jump magazine released in late November 2020 revealed that the fan favorite series My Hero Academia will be receiving its third anime film. The film is set to release in summer 2021 with original manga creator Kouhei Horikoshi slated to serve as the original character designer and chief supervisor once more.
The official Japanese My Hero Academia Twitter account shared the announcement alongside a new promotional image featuring characters Midoriya, Bakugo, and Todoroki.
Returning Production Staff
Seeing Horikoshi return to the next film is exciting! Along with Horikoshi’s return, the film announcement also revealed that director Kenji Nagasaki is back once more, alongside scriptwriter Yousuke Kuroda. Other production staff members are returning as well, including composer Yuki Hayashi.
My Hero Academia season 5 will also be seeing a return to fan’s screens in spring 2021.
With the promise of a new season and film, 2021 is looking very exciting for My Hero Academia fans.
