Production Will Take at Least a Year to Complete and Air

The website for the series previously announced that the production of Dropkick on My Devil! X will take at least a year to complete and be aired. Staff members have expressed concern to fans that they wish to keep providing content for fans leading up to the release of the new series, but at the present time do not have the promotional budget to do so. The staff stated that the crowdfunding campaign prioritized raising the funds to secure the production of the series first with promotional material second, aiming to provide content to fans every month or so before release.

The series is based on the manga of the same name by Yukiwo. The series centers on Yurine Hanazono, a university student who summoned the demon known as Jashin-chan from the underworld. If Yurine dies, Jashin-chan gets her freedom and to return to the underworld, so Jashin is in a constant battle to try to kill Yurine.

Yukiwo originally released the manga in Flex Comix’s web magazine Comic Meteor in April 2012. The series is ongoing to this day.
