The official Twitter account for Pokémon shared some new information for the Pokémon Diamond and Pearl remakes on May 26, 2021. The remakes finally have full titles and a release date!
The two Pokémon remakes are titled Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl. Both titles will be released on November 19, 2021 and are available for preorder now.
Pokémon Diamond and Pearl Synopsis
The official synopsis from the Pokémon website describes the remakes as follows:
“Experience the nostalgic story from the Pokémon Diamond™ and Pokémon Pearl™ games in an adventure reborn on the Nintendo Switch™ system.
Adventures in the Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl games will take place in the Sinnoh region. Rich in nature and with Mount Coronet towering at its heart, Sinnoh is a land of many myths passed down through the ages. You’ll visit many different locations in the Sinnoh region, while striving to become the Champion of the Pokémon League.”
Pokémon Legends: Arceus Announced
Following the announcement of Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl, one more title was also announced. Pokémon Legends: Arceus will be released on January 28, 2022.
The game will take place in the Sinnoh region, but in a time far before the Diamond and Pearl era. According to the game’s official site, you will follow the story during a period before Pokémon trainers and the Pokémon league existed.
Starter Pokémon for the game include Rowlet, Cynadquil, and Oshawatt. And players can expect to see the legendary Pokémon Arceus in the game as well.
Pokémon Legends: Arceus Synopsis
The synopsis from the Pokémon website describes the game as follows:
“The Pokémon Legends: Arceus game honors past Pokémon games’ core gameplay while infusing new action and RPG elements.
You’ll need to catch, survey, and research wild Pokémon in a long-gone era of the Sinnoh region to create and complete the region’s first Pokédex.”
