10th Anniversary anohana Image Shared
Along with the announcement, an image was shared that displays the anohana main characters 10 years later. The image was created by the chief animation director and character designer Masayoshi Tanaka.
The original anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day anime aired in 2011. It followed the story of childhood friends who, after the accidental death of someone in their group, drift apart. Once in high school, the group attempts to reconnect throughout the series as they deal with grief, loss, and trying to move on. As a review from Kotaku described it, anohana “will cause even the most jaded heart to weep.”
For fans of the anime, the 10th-year anniversary project promises to be of interest as more details are released!
