Earlier today, the anime production Ascendance of a Bookworm Season 4 was officially announced for the fantasy isekai series. This is the fourth season of the anime but covers the third part of the original light novels the adaptation is based on. The full title of this part is Ascendance of a Bookworm: Adopted Daughter of an Archduke. The newest anime adaptation will be done by Studio WIT.

The first anime adapation of Ascendance of a Bookworm released in the Fall 2019 season. Studio Ajiado had previously worked on the last three anime seasons of the franchise, all of which were directed by Mitsuru Hongou. Crunchyroll has licensed the first three anime seasons for streaming and has partnered with Sentai Filmworks for physical distribution in North America.
The original light novels of Ascendance of a Bookworm are written by Miya Kazuki with illustrations by You Shiina. J-Novel Club is publishing the light novels in English and all of part 3 is available to read digitally there now.
