Yuri!!! on Ice, one of the most popular anime of 2016, recently held a “Yuri!!! on Stage” event that ended Saturday. At the end of the evening session, they officially announced that a brand-new Yuri!!! on Ice film has been green-lit.
The official Twitter page then followed up with this:

The announcement makes it clear that this will not just be a recompilation of the anime series, but something original. If you have yet to see the original anime series, it is available on both Crunchyroll in English Sub, and Funimation in English Dub.
