Oreimo (also known as Ore no Imoto ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai) is getting a special AI project and a new light novel based on Ayase Aragaki. The announcements came from the Machi Asobi convention in Tokushima. The author of the light novels, Tsukasa Fushimi, revealed the plans during his stage event for his newest series Eromanga Sensei.
Ayase AI Project
The original Oreimo light novel series ran from 2008 to 2013. The twelve volume light novel series has had a manga adaptation, two anime seasons, and a visual novel. Now, the franchise is getting an interactive artificial intelligence project based on Ayase, one of the main characters.
The project will use the “Nakiri Shitsumon Oto” service by NTT and Dwango. Users will be able to ask the Ayase AI questions and choose responses Ayase would say. The AI will develop based on how Ayase AI interacts and learns from the fans.
Ayase Light Novel
The new light novel will be based on the Ayase route of the PlayStation Portable visual novel. Going by the title of Ore no Ayase ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai, the new light novel will be an updated and expanded version of the visual novel’s Ayase route. Depending on how fans react to the light novel, more light novels could be released.
