Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon are sequels to Sun and Moon, and will feature an alternative storyline in the Alola region. These games will feature more all-new creatures that weren’t in the original Sun and Moon games. You’ll note that in the trailer, Solgaleo and Lunala have new designs; and according to Kotaku, Mega’s are returning. Unfortunately, these new sequels will be exclusively for the 3DS, and will not be coming to the Switch. Pokken Tournament DX will likely just be a Wii U port as well.

In addition to these two announcements, It was also revealed today that Pokemon Gold and Silver will be coming to the 3DS Virtual Console. They will release alongside Pokken Tournament on September 22nd.

Are you excited about all of these announcements? Are you disappointed that the Nintendo Switch still won’t have a main-series Pokemon game? Let us know!
