Kadokawa has announced that the hit anime Re:ZERO is confirmed for a second season along with a teaser and the season’s key visuals.

The announcement of Re:ZERO‘s second season comes from both an update of the show’s website and announcements from the show’s official Twitter.
Re:ZERO Season 2 Teaser
The teaser shows Natsuki Subaru walking alone surrounded by the dead bodies of his allies and friends. He’s walking slowly towards a nefarious-looking woman drinking tea alone. We can assume she’ll likely be the next antagonist.
New Key Visual
The key visual for the new season shows Subaru and Emilia while a dark presence hovers over them. And the dark presence is the same mystery woman from the teaser.
White Fox, the studio making the anime, hasn’t given us a release date yet, so we’ll just have to wait for that.
The announcement comes soon after the reveal of the premiere date for Isekai Quartet, a crossover anime that features characters from several isekai animes including Re:ZERO. A second theatrical OVA for Re:ZERO will also be coming to Japan in the fall.
