Funimation shared a big announcement on April 12, 2021 for VIZ Media fans. Starting on April 15th, a number of anime series and films from VIZ Media will be available on Funimation in the United States and Canada.
For VIZ fans, some iconic series will be available, including JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure and Bleach. Some series will be fully available while others will have a select number of episodes available.
VIZ Media Titles Added to Funimation
Starting on April 15th, the following anime series will be available on Funimation:
- Bleach – Episodes 1-109 available in the United States, episodes 1-209 available in Canada
- JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure – Parts 1-3
- Vampire Knight
- Vampire Knight: Guilty
- K – Season 1
- Accel World
- Accel World: Infinite Burst
- Infini-T Force
The following anime films will be available on Funimation:
- Hunter x Hunter: Phantom Rogue
- Naruto Shippuden the Movie: The Will of Fire
- Naruto Shippuden the Movie: The Lost Tower
- Naruto Shippuden the Movie: Blood Prison
- Naruto Shippuden the Movie: The Road to Ninja
- The Last: Naruto the Movie
Funimation and VIZ’s Partnership
Funimation and VIZ Media announced their distribution partnership in late 2020. Plans included expansions to the Funimation streaming catalog, including series like Naruto, Coppelion, and Terra Formers.
