EDIT: On April 4, 2021 during the JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure the Animation Special Event, the TV anime adaptation of JoJo’s Bizzare Adventure Part 6: Stone Ocean was confirmed.
JoJo: Stone Ocean Not Confirmed Yet
Despite what you might’ve seen online recently, David Production has not confirmed JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Part 6: Stone Ocean.
Recently, an article from Gizmo Blaze claims that an anime for the sixth part of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure is coming. While that could be true in the future, there’s no actual announcement to confirm this story.
Gizmo Blaze didn’t specify who confirmed it, but they claim the show should arrive mid-2021. The assumption would be that David Production, the studio behind the anime adaptation, confirmed it.
David Production has made no announcement about JoJo since their March news about the Collector’s Edition Blu-Ray of the Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan OVA.
What’s confusing is that the article says “we’ll have to wait for an official announcement as nothing is confirmed”. This implies they don’t know an anime is coming and they’re just speculating.
Many fans have been waiting for news about a Part 6 anime. Unfortunately there’s nothing to confirm as of yet. Sorry if you got your hopes up, but it looks like we’ll have to wait for the JoJo: Stone Ocean anime adaptation.
About Part 6
“Set in 2011, Florida, Jolyne Cujoh, daughter of Jotaro, is wrongfully accused of a crime she didn’t commit and sent to a maximum security prison. While imprisoned, she struggles within a longstanding plot agreed between dead villain DIO and ideologue Enrico Pucci.” – JoJo Wiki
The JoJo Part 6: Stone Ocean manga serialized from 2000 to 2003 in Weekly Shonen Jump and spanned 17 volumes. Fans of the series eagerly await the anime adaptation. Hopefully David Production actually confirms it one day. Until then, be careful of clickbait articles.
You can find the English releases of the JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure manga over on Amazon. The latest addition, Diamonds Are Unbreakable Volume 5, is available now as Kindle and hardcover releases.
