Re:ZERO season 2 starts July 8th – new trailer, release date and opening

re:zero season 2

Kadokawa just dropped the newest trailer for Re:ZERO season 2 along with a July 8th release date. Along with the airing date was a preview of the newest opening song, “Realize” by Konomi Suzuki.

The previous announcement trailer showed the silhouette of the next antagonist Satella, the Witch of Envy. This new preview shows us a clear image of her and along with a few scenes and the opening song.

UPDATE: It’s also been confirmed that the sequel will be a two cour split season. That means the first half will air this summer but the next last half won’t be coming until 2021. So while the full season will be 25 episodes long, you’ll have to wait awhile after the summer season is over for the conclusion.

New trailer reveals July release date and “Realize” OP

Earlier this month, Spike Chunsoft announced a Re:ZERO tactical adventure game coming soon as well. With that, the season 2 trailer, and also the recent Re:ZERO Director’s Cut and Isekai Quartet, it’s safe to say this is a good time for Re:ZERO fans.
