My Hero Academia Season 6 Confirmed

Along with the fifth season finale of the My Hero Academia anime, we now have confirmation of the sixth season. The official series Twitter account confirmed that a sixth season is on the way. A short preview announcement video was also shared.

The sixth season will adapt the “Paranormal Liberation War” arc of the My Hero Academia manga by Kohei Horikoshi. As the eighteenth story arc in the manga total, “Paranormal Liberation Arc” will see a full on war between the heroes and villains we have followed in the series so far. This arc in the manga runs from chapter 253 to chapter 306. The anime’s first season originally started airing in April 2016 and also included its 100th episode.

My Hero Academia Film Coming in October

With the end of the fifth season, we can look forward to the release of the third My Hero Academia movie in October. My Hero Academia: World Heroes’ Mission initially released in Japan in August 2021. It will premiere in North American theaters on October 29, 2021. 

The movie synopsis from AMC reads:

“When a sinister organization threatens to wipe out all superhuman powers, the fate of the world is on the line. With two hours until the collapse of civilization, Deku, Bakugo, and Todoroki manage to work as a team, but there’s still one problem. Deku’s on the run for murder.”
